Russell C. Hodnett Consultant Training FundThe Russell C. Hodnett Consultant Training Fund is named in honor of Rus Hodnett, a founding member of the NY FarmNet Program. During the course of his twenty year service to NY FarmNet, Rus helped over 500 families overcome numerous challenges. Rus had many different occupations, including working for Cornell University Cooperative Extension, farmer cooperatives, real estate professionals, and farm families: however, he refers to his job as a NY FarmNet Financial Consultant as "the hardest thing I've ever done." Calls from farmers needing assistance to the NY FarmNet office continue to increase annually. As a result, there is demand for more well trained consultants to help a growing number of requests from farm families. Training expenses continue to escalate, and the current annual training budget to train consultants exceeds $30,000 annually. Please consider making a gift to provide NY FarmNet consultants with skills and information they need to help farm families overcome today's challenges.
